Distinguished guests accompanied by doc. Ing. Pavol Findura, PhD. the Head of Department of Machinery and Production Systems were welcomed by the Rector Dr.h.c. Prof. Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD.
In the meeting V.V. Adamchuk talked about his workplace as about the only of its kind in Ukraine where 250 scientific researchers are employed. 70 of them are PhD students and 15 of them are Doctors of Sciences. The Institute does not provide lessons, it is dedicated to scientific and research activity and is divided into eight departments aimed primarily at research in the field of plant and animal production, mechanization, automatization, electrification, greenhouse, and others. It also has a separate construction department developing high - performance technology as well as with experimental enterprise. V.V.Adamchuk declared that he would be interested in active cooperation with TF of SUA in electrotechnology, energy etc. He also suggested mediating contacts for cooperation with other institutes which are in the NAAS network focussing on water resources issues, separation technology, climate changes etc.
Prof. V. Bulgakov expressed his interest in active collaboration with TF in the field of mechanization. It could be developed also through the mobility of PhD students or by composing common scientific articles and publications. According to Prof. V. Bulgakov, one way is the creation of the Centre of Mechanization of SUA in Ukraine.
The Rector of SUA Prof. Peter Bielik highly appreciated declared possibilities of cooperation for PhD students and scientific researchers of TF. He pointed out that SUA traditionally has good cooperation with Ukrainian institutes, it has signed more than seven contracts with Ukrainian universities and our University management will create all conditions for gaining other partners for TF for quality and long-term mutually beneficial cooperation. Finally, the participating parties agreed to prepare a memorandum of understanding.
In another part of the programme, Ukrainian guests attended meetings in TF, university farm in Oponice where they could see the farm and park of mechanization.
