Two Scientists from SUA Ranked Among the World’s Leading Researchers

Research.com recently ranked Professor Marián Brestič and Associate Professor Marek Živčák from the Institute of Plant and Environmental Sciences at the Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources of Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra among the leading scientists in Plant Science and Agronomy. As a result, the university achieved 253rd place worldwide in this scientific field.
The Research.com ranking evaluates scientists across 28 disciplines and reflects their international research impact based on the Discipline H-index (D-index), which considers publications and citations within a specific field. Inclusion in the ranking is limited to approximately the top one percent of researchers worldwide.
In Plant Science and Agronomy, Slovakia was represented by six scientists, including two researchers from the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. Professor Marián Brestič ranked 213th globally, making him the highest-ranked Slovak scientist in this field and one of the top-ranked Slovak researchers overall. Associate Professor Marek Živčák placed 1,511th worldwide, becoming the second highest-ranked Slovak scientist in the discipline.
According to the latest Research.com results, the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra ranked second among seven Slovak universities included in the ranking, following Comenius University Bratislava.
