The delegation from Armenia was interested in the possibility of cooperation with SUA

On June 21, the delegation of the Standing Committee for Foreign Relations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia visited the Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra.
The aim of the bilateral visit was to introduce SUA, exchange possibilites in the field of education and also the possibility of establishing cooperation between universities and the business sector in Slovakia and the Republic of Armenia. The guests got acquainted with the current cooperation of our university with Armenian universities and institutions. Subsequently, other possibilities for cooperation in the field of science, research and education were discussed. The program also included a tour of the laboratories of the AgoBioTech Research Center.
The delegation, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Slovak Republic Armen Papikyan, the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Armenia Miroslav Hacek and the Chairman of the Foreign Committee of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Marián Kéry, was received by the SUA vice-rector for strategic development and internationalization Lucia Palšová and the director of AgroBioTech Research Center Lucia Gabríny.
Professor Radovan Kasarda from the Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources presented as an example of successful cooperation the results of the project Development of the teaching of fisheries and aquaculture in the field of green approach in Armenia and Ukraine: from education to ecology (AFISHE), which aims to create a network between Armenia, Ukraine and partner countries of the European Union in the field of aquaculture and fishing. The main idea of the project is to reduce the negative impact of aquaculture and fisheries on the environment in Armenia and Ukraine through the design and development of master's study programs in this area. Educators from these countries will undergo practical training in the next stage here, in Porto and in Dubrovnik.
