SUA was presented at the 40th Agrocomplex
27.08.2013The Slovak University of Agriculture could not be absent at the 40th International Agricultural and Food Exhibition Agrocomplex in Nitra on August 22-25. Our university exposition, which was designed and produced by the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering in collaboration with the SUA Botanical Gardens , Public Relations office and Slovak Agricultural Library was frequently visited.
The Slovak University of Agriculture could not be absent at the 40th International Agricultural and Food Exhibition Agrocomplex in Nitra on August 22-25. Our university exposition, which was designed and produced by the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering in collaboration with the SUA Botanical Gardens , Public Relations office and Slovak Agricultural Library was frequently visited.
The jubilee year was honoured by the visit of the President of the Slovak Republic Ivan Gašparovič, the Prime Minister Robert Fico, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ľubomír Jahnátek, as well as the Czech Minister of Agricuture Miroslav Toman, the Polish Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Stanislaw Kalemba and other guests. Issues associated with the name of the event Slovak countryside - the key to quality food, food security, based on its own production, manufacture of high quality, safe and affordable food ,resonated in the speeches of the top government representatives.
A unique presentation of the Program of Development of the SR 2007 - 2013, entitled “wandering our countryside”, which was developed in cooperation with SUA was very well received. A functional water mill, acres of fields, a small farm with live animals, a chalet, a tactile pavement, various demos of Slovak predators that visitors could take a photo with attracted the young and adults.
450 companies were present at this year´s fair.
