SUA Athletes Amongst Best University Athletes in Slovakia
07.12.2018On 5 December 2018, the Slovak Association of University Sports announced the results of the survey about the best university athlete for the year 2018. Among the awarded athletes is Bc. Filip Marinov, student of the Faculy of European Studies and Regional Development of SUA in Nitra, who represented Slovakia in March at the World Masters Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and won the first place in the competition of three-member teams in the trap.
On 5 December 2018, the Slovak Association of University Sports (SAUS) announced the results of the survey about the best university athlete for the year 2018. Among the awarded athletes is Bc. Filip Marinov, student of the Faculy of European Studies and Regional Development of SUA in Nitra, who represented Slovakia in March at the World Masters Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and won the first place in the competition of three-member teams in the trap.
For the second place in the Extraleague was awarded the University Volleyball club VKP Bystrina SPU Nitra.
Special award of SAUS, for years of work and engagement in the sport area, was given to PaedDr. Ivan Janko, PhD. from the hands of the president of the Slovak Olympic Committee, Anton Siekla. Ivan Janko is currently the president of the university club ZŠK SPU Nitra, and this year celebrates his 70-year life anniversary.
