Rector of SUA Meets with Rector of Jordanian University

Peter Bielik, PhD. met with Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai, Rector of Princess Sumaya University of Technology, Jordan, and the main coordinator of the international project RISE „Modernising Human Resource Management in South Mediterranean Higher Education (Erasmus+ Capacity Building) Prof. Walid Salameh. The guests were accompanied by the Dean of the SUA Faculty of Economics and Management prof. Dr. Ing. Elena Horská acting as a local project coordinator.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Rector Prof. Al-Refai briefly introduced the scientific, research and educational activities of his university and cooperation possibilities. Prof. Walid Salameh, coordinator of the project, informed SUA representatives about the idea, intention and benefits of the project. The parties agreed on further cooperation, which could come under Memorandum of Understanding in future.
The Rector visited SUA in Nitra with their delegation of 38 guests from Tunisia, Jordan, Algeria and Morocco within the framework of project training aimed at the topic of human resources management.
As the Dean of FEM prof. Elena Horská informed, high-quality and beneficial programme was prepared for the project participants in Nitra. They attended lectures on motivating and evaluation of employees created in cooperation with Ing. Zuzana Brúnaiová, Head of Labour Economics and Accounting Unit. Other lectures provided during the training were held by doc. Ing. Zuzana Kapsdorferová, PhD., Vice-Dean of FEM for Science and Research, and Ing. Veronika Hrdá, PhD., lecturer of the Department of Management of FEM. The Dean of FEM prof. Horská presented the system of motivating and evaluation of employees used at the Faculty. The outcome of project activities aims at the creation of strategic plan of human resources development at universities in partner countries and adoption of an action plan focusing on their modernization.
During the project meeting, participants also visited AgroBioTech Research Centre. Ing. Zuzana Kňažická, PhD. and Ing. Eva Tušimová, PhD. presented individual laboratories to the delegation and Ing. Lucia Grešová, PhD. held a lecture on building relationships at national and international levels with both universities and the business sphere.
