On 3 June, the President of the Slovak Republic, Peter Pellegrini, appointed 30 new university professors. Among them were two academics from the Slovak University of Agriculture (SUA) in Nitra.
The appointment decrees were presented at the Presidential Palace to Professor Radovan Savov of the Institute of Economic Policy and Finance at the Faculty of Economics and Management, who was appointed Professor in Sectoral and Cross-Sectoral Economics, and Professor Milan Kadnár of the Institute of Design and Engineering Technologies at the Faculty of Engineering, who was appointed Professor in Engineering Technologies and Materials.
In his address, President Pellegrini described the title of professor as one of the highest recognitions of academic achievement, emphasizing the responsibility it carries for educating future generations and advancing the quality of higher education and research.
Professor Radovan Savov’s research focuses on strategic management and human resource management, including talent management and diversity management. His work also explores developments in the craft brewing sector, examining industry trends and consumer behaviour both in Slovakia and internationally.
Professor Milan Kadnár specialises in engineering technologies, with a particular focus on modelling, optimisation, and industrial applications. His research integrates artificial intelligence and mathematical-statistical methods into both conventional and advanced engineering processes, contributing to improved quality and efficiency in technological production.
The appointments represent a significant professional achievement for both academics and further strengthen the university’s academic and research profile.
