Horticulture and Landscape Engineering Faculty photo competition dedicated to the World Day for Water has its winner

Events are organized on or around this day to increase people's awareness of water's importance in environment, agriculture, health and trade. As in previous years, some events were held also at the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering.
World Day for Water as a time to focus public attention on the critical water issues of our era is declared on 22 March. Events are organized on or around this day to increase people's awareness of water's importance in environment, agriculture, health and trade. As in previous years, some events were held also at the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering.
Doc. Ing. Ľuboš Jurík, PhD. was talking about the possibilities of eco-friendly flood control measures during his lecture. Photo competition and exhibition of photographs which capture water in the country in all its forms is one of the traditional events as well.
Last year 14 students and SUA employees with 72 photographs joined the competition. This year just 40 authors sent their interesting pictures. The most beautiful of them were chosen by the committee involving teaching staff and students. Winner of the competition was also selected by the public community via Facebook.

3th place: Elena KONDRLOVÁ; photo Loneliness of Turkey
