Greek Week in Podkylava
16.06.2014On 11 - 15 June 2014 the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra organized for the second time the INTERNATIONAL GREEN WEEK for MBA students from the international AGRIMBA network. There participated 27 MBA students from Warsaw, Nitra and Kiev, who under the guidance of prof. Bruce Ahrendsen from the University of Arkansas, USA, dealt with case studies in two selected companies: PVOD Kočín and Ekotrend Myjava, Ltd.
On 11 - 15 June 2014 the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra organized for the second time the INTERNATIONAL GREEN WEEK for MBA students from the international AGRIMBA network. There participated 27 MBA students from Warsaw, Nitra and Kiev, who under the guidance of prof. Bruce Ahrendsen from the University of Arkansas, USA, dealt with case studies in two selected companies: PVOD Kočín and Ekotrend Myjava, Ltd.
Basis for the work on the case studies was the visit of both businesses and discussion with the management about current issues, prospects, but also challenges for the future. While PVOD Kočín achieves excellent results in primary agricultural production and especially in milk production, Ekotrend Myjava deals with organically grown spelled wheat and medicinal plants, which they finalize in the form of 40 kinds of finished products. In addition, it provides distribution and marketing support for other 800 products from Slovak and foreign suppliers.
GREEN WEEK took place in Agro-guesthouse ADAM in Podkylava and one part was of a meeting with Ing. Vojtech Tĺčik, PhD., a procurator of TBS Podkylava who presented participants the structure and organization of life and work on Charolais biofarm. GREEN WEEK was not the only activity which the SUA active this year presented within the international network AGRIMBA. After its completion, which was held between 16th-17th In June 2014 SUA Executive Committee meeting held AGRIMBA network, bringing together representatives from 25 member universities from the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Russia, Ukraine, Mongolia, Croatia, Serbia, Scotland and the USA.
AGRIMBA is an academic network that since 1995 brings together universities offering international MBA study "Agribusiness and Commerce." AGRIMBA is part of the European University Association on life sciences ICA. Slovak University of Agriculture represents the net AGRIMBA Rector Dr.hc prof. Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD., Who is also a member of the Bureau AGRIMBA and director of the MBA Study Program that content and organization of the department FEM SUA.
