Popular event Erasmus Village has its traditional place within University Student Days of the Nitra. Its main actors are foreign students studying at SUA in Nitra a under the Erasmus + program, as well as bilateral and other forms of cooperation. Through presentations from their countries and universities, they offer interesting and valuable information for our students who interested in studying abroad from "first-hand".
This year, the main hall of SUA turned into "Erasmus Village" on 22 November 2018. Not only students, but also university staff and visitors were able to virtually visit Kazakhstan, Japan, Spain, Italy, Romania, France, Russia, Mexico, and Colombia. The event was officially opened by prof. Peter Bielik, Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator at SUA in Nitra. He welcomed all participants and wished foreign students many successes and positive experiences during their studies at our university.
Visitors had also the opportunity to taste the specialties and meals typical for each participating country or to see and try traditional dances from Spain, Romania and Ukraine.
Both participants and foreign students themselves voted for the most interesting stand. This year, in the strongest competition, the stands of Ukraine, Romania and Kazakhstan were most impressed. The event was also hosted by the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), which helps foreign students integrate into SPU's student life, and welcomes new "internationally-oriented" enthusiasts to their team. During Erasmus Village, ESN celebrated its tenth anniversary in Nitra.
