Auditorium of Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra on Postage Stamp

On January 9, Slovak Post issued a new postage stamp with Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra on it. It shows SUA Auditorium Maximum, the most characteristic and the most unique part of the University. Ceremonial introduction of the postage stamp took place on January 17 in the Auditorium of SUA in Nitra.
On January 9, Slovak Post issued a new postage stamp with Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra on it. It shows SUA Auditorium Maximum, the most characteristic and the most unique part of the University. Ceremonial introduction of the postage stamp took place on January 17 in the Auditorium of SUA in Nitra.
It was designed by an academic painter Igor Benca and the author of the printed form is František Horniak. The postage stamp of 26,5 x 22 milimeters with its nominal value of 1,25 euros from the line of Cultural Heritage of Slovakia: Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra is issued in the form of a printed sheet having one hundred stamps. The stamp was issued together with an envelope with FDC stamp dated January 9, 2017, and the domicile of the city of Nitra. The FDC envelope shows also a motive of detailed rib vault of the interior of SUA Auditorium Maximum. The FDC stamp shows a rosette keystone situated at the ceiling of the Main Hall of the University.
The ceremonial opening was moderated by doc. Ing. arch. Roberta Štěpánková, PhD., SUA Vice-Rector for Informatization and University Development and attended by a member of NC SR Anton Hrnko, Postal Ombudsman Ján Jasovský, Director of the Postal Services Division of the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development Jarmila Brichtová, Chairman of Nitra Self-Governing Region and Milan Belica, Mayor of the city Nitra Jozef Dvonč, and many others. The postage stamp was ceremonially introduced by prof. RNDr. Zdenka Gálová, CSc., SUA Vice-Rector for Education and ECTS, authors of the desing and printed form, POFIS Director and Slovak ceremonially „welcomed into life“ with wheat seeds.
