Winery – New study programme accredited at SUA

Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences in Nitra in cooperation with other faculties have been cooperating intensively on the activities related to the preparation of the accreditation of the study programme “winery”. At the 69th meeting of the Accreditation Commission, an advisory body to the Government of the SR, held on December 5-6, 2012, the above study programme was recognized eligible for a standard length of study.
Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences in Nitra in cooperation with other faculties have been cooperating intensively on the activities related to the preparation of the accreditation of the study programme “winery”. At the 69th meeting of the Accreditation Commission, an advisory body to the Government of the SR, held on December 5-6, 2012, the above study programme was recognized eligible for a standard length of study.
The new study programme was prepared to educate professionals in the field of production, but mainly the final processing of grape products.
Students completing this study programme carried out in the first period of study (BCs), full-time or part-time, will receive a university education in the field of agricultural products processing. Subjects that are a part of the curriculum will be provided by all faculty departments of SUA.
Graduates of the programme will get familiar with the issue of wine grape cultivation, but their main focus will be grape handling related activities. They will be educated in the field of raw materials and technological processes of production of wine and traditional methods with modern technologies.
