Dear BUP friends,

 

Happy new year 2021! We are looking forward to another year of exciting cooperations with all of you around the region. 2021 is also a special year for our Programme since we are celebrating our 30th anniversary. We will commemorate this occasion throughout the year and next week we will be informing you about our celebration plans.


In the meantime, we invite you to the first session of our Space Bridge 2.0 seminar series and 3rd part of the ESD seminar series. If you are a student or a PhD student, we also welcome you to apply to our ambassador program and submit your application to become an e-tutor. More information can be found below!

The BUP invites to SPACE BRIDGE 2.0 seminar

30 years with the Baltic Sea: What has happened and where are we heading?

 

In the 1st session of the seminar series "Space Bridges 2.0", we will focus on the post-Cold War environmental development of the Baltic Sea. The session has several invited experts and aims to enlight the participants in an interactive, discussing the recent environmental history of our sea.

The BUP is hiring students for a digitalization project

We are now looking for students and PhD students at BUP participating Universities that would like to work extra on the side of their studies, digitalizing lectures and developing interactive online courses.

Hired students are expected to work with local BUP researchers, filming, editing and digitalizing lectures for new BUP course modules and Massive Open Online Courses.

The position consists of approximately 60h of paid work during the spring semester, with the possibility for prolongation.

Call for BUP student ambassadors

Do you want to get involved as a BUP ambassador?

The BUP Coordinating Secretariat calls for students and PhD students at BUP participating Universities, who are interested in becoming Student Ambassadors in 2021.

The aim is to complement the communication and cooperation with student contact persons who assist the existing BUP coordinators at each of our 89 participating universities. As well as engaging with students from your university and be a positive force towards sustainability in our region.

at universities - part 3

 

How can we implement sustainability at universities in respect of teaching, research and campus greening?

 

The main target group for the webinar series is teachers in higher education, especially within the BUP, however, the webinars are open for everyone that is interested.
