In October, the Slovak Agricultural Library at SUA in Nitra opened a new study room - this time virtual. The aim of the project is to test the students' interest in digital scripts and textbooks.
As Mgr. Beáta Bellérová, PhD., Director of the library said, in cooperation with the SUA Publishing House, out-of-print publications which students could be interested in were chosen. Authors were also asked to agree to make older, digitized, titles or digital versions of newer publications available.
The content of the virtual study room (about 130 titles) consists mainly of textbooks and scripts issued by SUA. To a lesser extent, non-textbook literature by authors from the SUA and literature from the social sciences (especially economics and marketing) of publishers such as Wolters Kluwer, Grada, Iura Edition, Economist, etc. are represented. The library management welcomes feedback not only from students, but especially from teachers.
