FABRE -TP is the main point of contact for livestock breeding and reproduction organizations in Europe to stimulate progress in research, technological development and innovation. It sets out research priorities for livestock breeding and reproduction in the framework of Horizon Europe projects. It promotes the sustainable breeding and reproduction of livestock in the EU, develops research and innovation programs, sets priorities, links industry, education institutes and law-makers and promotes innovation. Established in 2005 as an initiative of proactive breeding partners, it continued as a project supported by the European Structural Funds and since 2009 has been the official European technology platform.
The EFFAB (European Forum of Farm Animal Breeders) is an independent European forum representing animal reproduction and selection organizations. Members of the forum are organizations of producers of cattle, pigs, poultry and fish.
