Students can now use the new SUA Chill zone, which is located in the main building under the assembly hall. The SUA Rector Klaudia Halászová ceremoniously cut the ribbon.
Space for students to relax and meet was created thanks to development projects. The new zone can be used not only by full-time students, but also by part-time students. "Part-time students sometimes come to us with babies and strollers, now they will have a place to drop off. It is a new, modern space, which does not lack a computer, a kitchenette with running water and a microwave. It can also serve as a meeting center for Erasmus+ students from abroad," explained the Rector at the opening. Entry to the chill zone is by card.
The university's goal is to turn the new relaxation zone into a usable space in which life will pulsate. The activities prepared by the student part of the academic senate will also help. "We greatly appreciate the opening of such spaces, which allow students to spend time and relax between exercises and lectures," said Stanislava Drotárová, vice president of the student section of the SUA Academic Senate. She also highlighted the equipment of the kitchen, which offers the possibility of eating your own lunch. "Until now, such an opportunity has been limited for students at the university," she added. "In the future, we would like to use these spaces as a place where we can collect suggestions and ideas from students regarding studies and life at SUA, and at the same time we would like to hold academic quarter-hours with the management of our university," added Drotárová.
