The work, designed and realized by promising young architects from various cities and countries under the direction of Danish carpenter and architect Tobias Foged Permin and architect Danica Pišteková from the Woven studio, won the prestigious international award BigSEE Architecture Award 2020 and BigSEE Wood Design Award. The multinational BigSEE Architecture Award annually selects the highest quality architectural projects and realizations from eighteen European countries in the categories: commercial architecture, residential architecture, landscape and urban space.
The awards ceremony was to take place on 16 October 2020 in Ljubljana (Slovenia). Due to epidemic measures, the award ceremony and the accompanying exhibition, at which all awarded projects will also be presented, will be moved in the spring of 2021.
Rampolynå is a free-standing wooden object (an element of small architecture) that clearly defines its functions, but at the same time opens up to different interpretations of everyone who interacts with it. Public space thus acquires architecture that complements and transforms it at the same time. The postmodern style of the building fits perfectly into its surroundings - the modernist town of Partizánske and its other architectural layers.
