Practical Training
Practical training is an integral part of study programmes at all SAU faculties. Like other subjects, it is
awarded by a certain number of credits, depending on its character and duration. The venues and forms of practice are various
(individual, group). All SAU faculties use opportunities provided by the University Experimental Farm, s.r.o. (UEF) for practical
training. The practice is supervised by a teacher as well as by a specialized UEF employee. Some students pass their practice in the
SAU Botanic Garden. Moreover, faculties have agreements on student vocational practice with successful agricultural enterprises,
such as the Združenie agropodnikateľov Dvory nad Žitavou, PPD Prašice, PP Nová Bodva, and PD Šarišan Svinia. Good practice
conditions for the Faculty of Engineering students have been created by the PALL-INALFA, a.s. Students interested in doing their
vocational practice abroad may choose Germany, Great Britain, France, Switzerland, Norway, Netherlands, and the USA.
