We know the winners of Agrofilm. The Rector's Prize was awarded to a German film

At the 35th Agrofilm 2019 International Film Festival, the best documentary filmmakers dedicated to agriculture, food and environmental quality were awarded. The authors of the awarded films received the awards on October 4 at a ceremony in the cinema hall of Mlyny Cinemas in Nitra.

The problems of the agrosector inspire documentary filmmakers around the world. Their films again and again provoked discussions on university and scientific grounds. An international jury awarded 14 awards to films from ten countries.

The main prize of the festival went to the Australian film Grassroots, which is also looking for scientific solutions to improve the state of agricultural land not only in Australia. Proper land use, restoration and protection are of vital importance to humanity and must be realized by scientists and farmers around the world. The author Frank Oly received a symbolic financial contribution of EUR 2,000 from the organizers.

German authors have  compiled the documentary Foma Rot and White Rot - two of the most important fungal diseases of rapeseed, which was appreciated by the jury. The film was awarded the prize of the Rector of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra.
