SUA Experts at World Exhibition EXPO 2017

On 19–23 June, the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic realized a common research and entrepreneurship journey to world exhibition EXPO 2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan. The Slovak Republic had its own pavilion in the exhibition and SUA was a part of it.
SUA in Nitra was represented by prof. Ing. Adriana Kolesárová, PhD., Vice-Dean of FBFS, doc. Ing. Radoslav Židek, PhD. (FBFS), doc. Ing. Radovan Kasarda, PhD., (FAFR), and Ing. Lucia Hlavačková (FAFR).
The exhibition connected more than 120 countries of the whole world and more than international organizations and enabled its visitors to get to know Kazakhstan better and to become familiar with Future Energy – the theme of the exhibition. EXPO 2017 displayed advanced technology, green solutions used in practice, and introduced the idea to make the capital city of Astana a high-tech residence and the leader of its region having more than 500 million citizens by 2050.
SUA representatives presented research and scientific outcomes in the field of food security and the results were summed up in the topic Innovative Genetic Management of Farm Animals and Crop for Food Security. After the presentations by all Slovak representatives of science and research, B2B (Business to Business) negotiations started and SUA was offered to cooperate within not only research and scientific, but also educational spheres with Kazakh organizations.
