Scientific Conference of PhD. Students

On the occasion of the 15th year of Science and Technology Week in Slovakia, the Scientific Conference of PhD. Students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources, and of the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences was held on 6th November at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra.
The event was organized jointly by both faculties, under the auspices of the Dean of FAFR, assoc. prof. Peter Ondrišík and the Dean of FBFS prof. Ján Tomáš.
Altogether, 60 participants were registered - 38 of them were from SUA (21 PhD. students from FAFR, 15 from FBFS, 2 from FHLE), two from the Slovak Academy of Sciences and 20 students from foreign universities - Poland, Uzbekistan, China. The program was divided into eight thematic areas: agrobiotechnology; applied and molecular biology; multifunctional agriculture, the environment and rural development; plant production; technology, quality and safety of raw materials and food of plant origin; technology, quality and safety of raw materials and food of animal origin; human nutrition and animal production.
Presented papers were published in the form of an extended abstracts in the conference proceedings that are available on the Conference website, or in the form of scientific papers, which will be published in the Journal of Central European Agriculture, Acta Fitotechnica et Zootechnica or The Journal of Microbiology, Biotechnology and Food Sciences.
